Issa Sonus ensemble performs the world premiere of Kareem Roustom‘s new version of Letters Home arranged for Laura Falzon as a flute and viola work.
On May 17th, at the Queens New Music Festival, Laura Falzon, flute, and Edmundo Ramirez, viola, premiered Kareem Roustom’s work, originally for clarinet and viola.
Other works premiered in the same ISSAS Sonus concert were Three Colored Blossoms by Anna Veismane for flute & viola (World Premiere), The Unattained by Shahab Paranj (NY premiere) and Dviraag by Asha Srinivasan, (NY premiere) both for flute & cello, as well as Bati L’Gani by Meira Warshauer for Solo Flute (NY premiere).
