Costa Rican composer, Carlos José Castro Mora, Professor of Composition at the University of Costa Rica and Latin Grammy Awardee in the category “Best contemporary classical music work” in 2008, has written a new work for alto flute and string quartet, for Laura Falzon.
The first movement of this work “Como una melodía que emerge del olvido” was premiered by Falzon in a concert presented by Ensamble America at The Art Directors Club, New York on May 28 2015 with the Bleecker string quartet.
